Our purpose:

  • Represent the undergraduate students in ECoS to higher-ups

  • Provide support to all undergraduate students

  • Improve and promote student-faculty interaction

  • Promote the sciences 

  • Provide funding to other ECoS clubs

  • Discuss any concerns regarding Eberly or the University as a whole

Sweetalana

President

Sweetalana is a fourth-year student majoring in biological sciences. She is involved in FIMRC (Foundation for International Relief of Children), and she is also a resident assistant and learning assistant. She enjoys painting and playing board games with friends.

Lilly Huff

Vice President

Lilly is a third-year student majoring in biobehavioral health on the pre-medicine track with a deafness and hearing studies minor. She is involved in RAM (Remote Area Medical) and Atlas (THONâ„¢). She enjoys painting, hiking, soccer, playing Animal Crossing, and watching Netflix.

Sara Yi

Secretary

Sara is a fourth-year student majoring in biology with vertebrate physiology option. She is involved in Ski Club, Remote Area Medical, and Dr. Kalantari's lab. She enjoys playing with her dog, listening to and making music, video editing, and video games.

Katherine Kelly

Treasurer

Katie is a third-year student majoring in mathematics. She is involved in Delta Phi Epsilon and Schreyer for Women. She enjoys going to the Arboretum, puzzles, SNL, Harry Potter, and Taylor Swift.

Fiona McConnell

Sustainability

Fiona is a third-year student majoring in genetic and developmental biology with a minor in marine biology. She is involved as a swim club THON dancer, SEN grant awardee, Tri Sigma, ski club, and is a research assistant. She enjoys scuba diving, swimming, cooking, traveling, hiking, hanging out with friends, and working out.

Melanie Huot

Media Relations

Mel is a third-year student majoring in biology with vertebrate physiology option and a minor in sociology. She is involved as a learning assistant for biology, a research assistant for the Bevilacqua lab, and RAM (Remote Area Medical). She enjoys videogames, making music, hanging out with friends, getting boba, and volunteering at the animal shelter.

Maddy Edwards

Academic Outreach

Maddy is a fourth-year student majoring in biology with a women’s studies minor. She is involved in Alpha Epsilon Delta and the Pre-Optometry Society. She enjoys swimming, working out, and watching Disney movies.

Nicholas Demario

Community Service

Nick is a fourth-year student majoring in biology with neuroscience option. He is involved in substance abuse research at Dr. Hostetler’s lab. He enjoys the outdoors, motorcycles, and BBQ’s.

Rhiannon Martin

THONâ„¢ Co-Chair

Rhia is a third-year student majoring in biology and Spanish. She is involved in THONâ„¢ and Alpha Epsilon Delta. She enjoys hiking, working out, listening to music, and painting.

Ashley Seideneck

THONâ„¢ Co-Chair

Ashley is a third-year student majoring in pre-medicine with a minor in sociology. She is involved as a BIOL 110 learning assistant and a study group facilitator for biology. She enjoys going to the beach, exercising, and being with her dogs.

Rachel Harter

Fundraising Co-Chair

Rachel is a third-year student majoring in molecular biology and getting a masters in the business administration integrated program. She is involved as a learning assistant for organic chemistry and in the Miyashiro and Medina research labs. She enjoys running, lifting, and boxing.

Mabel Tong

Fundraising Co-Chair

Mabel is a second-year student majoring in biology with the neuroscience option, minoring in statistics, and pursing a Smeal business certificate. She is involved at Penn State in the Mao Lab and is a member of the Schreyer Med Team. She enjoys watching movies and karaoke nights with friends.

Dipesh Patel

Programming

Dip is a fourth-year student majoring in biology with the vertebrate physiology option. He is involved as the PR chair of AED, member of the club tennis team, undergraduate researcher, TA for multiple classes, biochem exam proctor, and a member of the RedCross club. He enjoys sports (football, tennis, soccer), gym, running, reading, and sketching.

Valeria Martinez

Recruitment

Valeria is a second-year student majoring in data science and statistical modeling. She is involved in the Sports Analytics club and a Bunton Waller Merit Scholar. She enjoys painting, hanging with friends, and hiking.
